a poem a day by A.J.Rao

To keep eight fold stone path
We have to defy gravity what
It takes to define and hold life
Stone on stone, against wind.

We have pine cones in the fall
And a  snow that will quicken
Apple trees for a new october
And we will return to harvest.

We build our stupa of dharma
Tightly against a wind of pines
And fly colored flags as leaves
And snow falls as water in sky.

Grass defies a gravity on head
We carry in an eight fold path
Stone upon stone ,in our lives
And our grass rises to the sky.

The grass grows on our heads
Defining gravity and our lives
Defy a gravity  shaping them,
Like apple falls define gravity.
