a poem a day by A.J.Rao

Trains take you to the empty spaces
Where orange fires raged other day

And you could collect the fire’s dust
In the enclosed cup of joined palms

And pour it in oblation in holy rivers
Which will take them to a green sea.

Trains bring people to river’s canals
Where death turns a mere after-fact

Submerged in flowing green water.
It is like what a life’s beginning was

When you were fast asleep in mom
Submerged in sea of emerald aqua .

Trains take you to a sea of darkness
Hosting you in their green wombs.
