(Just as a man discards his worn out clothes and puts on new clothes, the soul discards worn out bodies and wears new ones” -Bhagavat Gita)

Old brown bird couple is gone from
Memory after parenting in AC unit,
Like clothes folded ,now in a drawer.

A new bird that looks like an old bat
Is on clothesline sleeping its winks
Along with a dreaming underwear.

Bird sleeps on clothesline, like  bat,
In the darkness of a balcony’s night
And lets its darkness decide its fate.
