We were to stop all the world clocks
But neighbor had to catch early local.
A stupid phone would ring raucously
In excited ring tones for puppy love.

We give up and now we put him out
With somber aspect of funeral hush.
Female murmurs cut through the air
About son not turning up for funeral .

Son stops world clocks in a distance.
He is cutting off  the world’s phones.
He is packing up the sun and moon
From the other side of the Atlantic.
