a poem a day by A.J.Rao

Every year comes spring in the air-
Spring in the step of child in street,
Man with  towel slung on shoulder,
A woman with a water pot on waist.

Old man’s autumn has fallen away.
White fluffy things roam aimlessly,
Dry white bougainvillea are paper,
Some shreds of clouds on lazy sky.

Woman steps out hanging balcony.
Man adjusts towel on his shoulder.
A child in street plays as silhouette.
Old man mulls his vernal surprises.
