Chimes

chimes remind rose’s brown leaves
burnt by the sun for no latter’s fault
with a bud still sleeping hunched up
but deeply dead in its green womb.

chimes remind the jasmine creeper
crawling up to the ambitious plastic
that hides a burning sun of summer,
its top leaves shriveled up by plastic

chimes remind a breeze that comes
from far off seas, through paddy fields
houses , cows,women, sleeping dogs
truck drivers,falling asteroid pieces.

chimes toll anonymous church bells
in a common destiny that connects
houses, cows, women, sleeping dogs
truck drivers etc to aggregating earth.
